Rampoldi Monaco

Rampoldi

This winter I was commissioned to photograph the Monte-Carlo Rampoldi restaurant. Established in Monaco for 70 years, Rampoldi has a typical Monegasque lifestyle atmosphere. It has recently been refurbished and a private club and a cigar lounge are now part of this high end restaurants features.

Celebraties such as Grace Kelly, Princess of Monaco have enjoyed the fine dining experience at Rampoldi over the years. It caters to the rich and famous to finish off a day at the Monaco Yacht Show, the Monaco Grand Prix or the Casino. As one the principality’s dining institution, the restaurant needed to stay fresh and exciting.

Antonio Salvatore

Executive Chef Antonio Salvatore took over and is all about emphasizing local producers and the freshest ingredients for his Mediterranean-inspired menu. With an international background and after rising through the ranks of Michelin Star restaurants, Antonio Salvator started working in this vibrant restaurant just steps away from the Hotel Metropole, the Fairmont and the Hotel de Paris.

Antonio’s arrival to the restaurant is seen as Rampoldi’s second act. His strategy is to safeguard the restaurant’s reputation yet bring a freshness to the kitchen with local and regional produce added to the menu.

Tempus

Rampoldi was a very nice editorial photography subject. Antonio was a pleasure to photograph and the different areas of the restaurant are all very photogenic. The dishes Antonio presented for the pictures were a delight for the eye and the mouth.

My pictures were published alongside an interview of Antonio Salvatore in Tempus Magazine.
